More than 100 years ago the Pedersen cycle was a bicycle,
which only few people were able to afford. This was due mainly
to the complicated production process. Today the high price was
mainly due to the dear frame, but also due to our claim that every
customer should „compose“ her or his very personal Pedersen
bike. This custom-made principle made every Pedersen unique,
but also expensive. Until then the average Pedersen costs 2.800
Euros. Often we were approached for a cheaper model without
jeopardizing the quality.

We remembered the inventor of the assembly belt, Henry Ford,
who wanted to bring a very cheap car into the market. He is the
one who said: „You can have every colour you want for your
car - as long as it is black“. And indeed the popular Ford motor
car - the legendary „Tin Lissy“ (or Model-T) was available in black
colour only. Thus the name for our project was born.
